Persistent Dizziness

by Matt80, May 16, 2008 05:26AM
Hello,

I had episodes of persistent dizziness and extreme fatigue in the past. All was related to drinking of alcohol. Since I completely eliminated alchohol/wine from my diet everything has been okay. Recently, I had to use an old crt 14 inches monitor for a couple of days. I experienced some eye fatigue when using that monitor, however I didn't pay too much attention to it. After a couple of days i was using that monitor I started experiencing that terrible dizziness again, and it is going on for about a week even if I stopped using that monitor.

Anyone have suggestions? I thought about that the two things could be related to an overstimulation of the nervous system...is it possible?

Do you think motion sickness drugs can temporarily remove this dizziness/lightheadedness feeling?

Thanks
Matteo

I was sleeping one night and in my sleep I felt like I was on a boat or a roller coaster, when I woke up I looked up at the ceiling and the room was spinning like when you have drank way to much.  I layed back down and then tried to get up again more slowly but the whole room was spinning, I went to the bathroom and my husband came in to check on me and I told him I saw three of him and then passed out.  He called 911 and when the ambulance came and everytime the emt's moved me I puked because I was sooo dizzy.  After going to the hospital they diagnosed me with Vertigo some people have severe cases of it and others just feel a little dizzy.  The dizziness lasted on and off for over a year but finally went away.  When I first started feeling dizzy I would take antivert and after a couple of hours it goes away.  Maybe this is what you are experienceing antivert is a prescription so you have to get it from your doctor but it is well worth it.
