I am 37 years old and I have been having lots of symptoms over the past 6 months or so. I will list my symtoms first so you can have a general idea.

1. I am always tired, no energy, never feel like doing anything.  My muscles in my arms and legs feel very tired and weak. I have numbness and cramping in the muscles, (arms and legs)  I do not work anymore, I can't drive anymore. My entire body feels like I'm carrying around an extra weight.

2.  I have been getting light-headedness and getting dizzy spells and sometimes it gets bad where I have to sit or lay down really quick because I think I am going to pass out. Or I get fatigued so suddenly that I can't stand anymore.

3.  I have no appetite.

4. I always seem to be cold or sweating.

5.  Besides the always being cold ... I will occasionally get hot flashes.  I

6. My blood pressure goes up and down for no reason. I could be sitting still all day and it will jump up. Especially when I get up in the mornings. Very Unpredictable.

7.  Lately I have vaginal dryness and no sex drive at all.  I burn when I urinate ever since they put a foley in me to do an angiogram and my right side is tender. (May be a seperate issue)

8. I have been getting acne breakouts like never before

9. I have become allergic to allot of things including allot of antibiotics.

10.  I find that I am bruising very easily now for some reason.  I always have a black and blue mark on me!

11. I get coldness in my hands and feet and have to put a heating pad on them.

12. The symptoms tend to worsen before my menstrual cycle

13. My digestion has not been good and I get allot of acid reflux and a feeling of pressure in my chest. When I lie down at night I can hear gurgling and strange noises in my stomach and abdomen.

14. I feel shaky when I walk at times and it feels like my legs want to give way.

The doctors have ran allot of test. So far everything has been normal except my calcium level went up in January and my Phosphorus dropped.  Then in April I had a high parathyroid count. The doctor says that they were false positive results because my calcuim looks normal since then. Cortisol was normal . My inflammation test were elevated slightly but so far no other answers.  Brain scan is normal. No anemia. creat is in normal range. Kidney and other organs have had normal results. Heart enzymes and all other heart test are normal in spite of the blood pressure. My urine calcium was in range. Please Help! I so want to feel better. I saw another lady here had the exact same symptoms except my hair is not thinning. (Tifferz is her user name)

Sorry to hear how hard a time you are having. You mentioned parathyroid tests, but how were your thyroid studies? Have you been to an endocrinologist?

One thing it can be hard to know is what problems caused what symptoms. Maybe whatever is wrong that has not yet been diagnosed is causing your trouble sleeping, but then again, maybe the trouble sleeping is causing some of your problems. Have you had a sleep study yet to try to determine why you have trouble sleeping?

I agree with KatEyes and would see an endocrinologist to be tested for thyroid disease. Your symptoms are nearly identical to what I experienced at your age. Make sure you get a thyroid antibodies test, TSH, Free T3, and Free T4.

My PTH is 97.8 right now (which the doctor says is not high enough to do anything about and my calcium is up and down. The doctor at the VA consulted with the Endocrinologist at the VA and he said he thought that they were false positive results. (I don't believe it though. Unfortunently we don't have any medical insurance.

All of the other Thyroid test have been normal. I have to do something soon. I can't do this anymore. Thank you all so much for your ideas.

They do have a Parathyroid expert here in Tampa but the surgery to remove a bad parathyroid is $10,750. You have to have the cash up front because I am thinking that since that is the only test to come back positive it has to do something with that.
