What is the difference and between Luvox and Luvox CR

My doctor just put me on 50mg on Luvox for social anxiety, I wanted to try Luvox CR but I guess its so new that my insurance won't cover it. Will the regular Luvox work in pretty much the same manner as Luvox CR?.   Is 50mg a normal dose of Luvox or is it small?

the only difference is the extended release over a period of time, otherwise the same medication exactly.  Yes, that is a good dose to start with, and if it works,to stay with.
