You ARE young, like you said....and it's time to start learning how to move on...and get through this. Just know you are far from alone...soooo many of us have and are going through the same thing.
When I first experienced it...I went to NUMEROUS eye docs INSISTING there was something wrong with my eyes! It's a very odd feeling, and one we are very aware of.
The good news is...once you start treating the anxiety...it will subside. For me, it took several weeks. For tthers, it goes away faster, and still others, it takes a bit longer.
Have you sought ANY type of treatment for your anxiety yet? It sounds like you are suffering quite badly. I would recommend seeking professional help...the sooner the better. If you are open to meds...talk to your family doc who can point you in the right direction when it comes to therapy...and maybe prescribe medication. There are a lot of different treatments out there for anxiety....with MANY success stories. Read my journal if you get a chance.

The eye thing is irritating...but it comepletely harmless, I promise you. It's basically a result of us becoming super sensitized to sights, sounds, smells, etc.
Keep posting and let us know how you're doing, okay?
I have vision problems too. My eyes feel very scratchy and dry all the time and my forehead is very tense in between my eyes which leads to a constant headache. These symptoms make me feel a little unsteady. It doesn't seem to matter how much sleep I get either. My eyes always feel like this. I posted earlier that I went to see my Mom yesterday. I feel a little odd being away from my house, but other than that, I'm perfectly comfortable around her. We're sitting in the living room having a nice talk when suddenly I feel dizzy, like I'm going down a roller coaster. When this happens I just pause, take a breath, then continue talking like nothing has happened. I've felt this way most of my life and I've learned that the more I focus on whatever symptom is bothering me at the moment the more it effects me so I've learned to just ignore them.
Your Mom is right. Symptoms come and go and so will this one.
Thinking of you.....
I am also 23 and I have dealt with anxiety and panic attacks my whole life. My life is currently on hold due to a very bad period and way too many doctors appoinments. I didn't want to accept that it was anxiety because anxiety just doesn't register as a condition that could affect you so strongly but IT CAN!!
When you think certain thoughts your brain releases certain chemicals that cause you to feel anxious and, if not stopped, your symptoms intensify. The trick is to stop them where they start to avoid the further release of these chemicals. The more you focus the worse you will feel. And we all know how hard that is...I'm just starting to realize it...but try ignoring it and do something that you enjoy or relaxes you. Exercise is always good because it release endorphins(might have spelt it wrong) and it is a chemical that makes you feel good.
You won't feel better overnight so stop putting that pressure on yourself and just take it a day at a time. If you think you need to speak to someone or that medication is right for you then, by all means, do what you feel is right for you.
I hope that helped, at least, a little. You can write me anytime.
Take care.
