Facial pain with glasses

For two years now I have been having difficulty wearing any eyeglasses. I need them to read. Any eyeglasses cause a numbness, cold feeling and eventually pain on my face around my eyes. I try to cope by keeping my readers on my head and taking them on and off my face as I need them throughout the day. I have tried contacts and they do not cause any discomfort but the correction made my distance sight so I couldn't drive. I now use audiobooks because I enjoy reading. I have seen an eye doctor and a neurologist and all was negative. In the meantime, the symptoms are getting worse. Could this be my FM?

I have fibro of about 15 years duration, and for the past approx 5 years have the same problem with my glasses. I even sprang the big bucks for the lightweight titanium ones. They are better than my steel frames, but after wearing them all day they hurt too. I would wear contacts but can't imagine sticking something in my eye! Good luck, you aren't alone.
