Bursitis in the right shoulder

when a steroid injection is given for Bursitis, in the shoulder, is it mantatory that fluid be drawn out of the bursa sac first?

Hi butterfly26, how are you and hope you are feeling better of the pain with steroid injections? I feel the procedure and plan of care depends on the decision of the attending orthopedic surgeon. You can discuss and clear your concerns with the doctor before getting the shot. Hope this link may be helpful to you:
