contact stuck on eye

I put an antibiotic ointment in my eye for a stye prescribed by my ophthalmologist today, and after trying to take my contacts out- I was not able to. I think the ointment made my eye really sticky and is causing my contact to stick to my eye refusing to come out.
What should I do to get it off?
