9 month old boy with acne-like bump.

by tyler4777, May 16, 2008 08:32PM
I have a nine-month old baby boy and recently he has developed a small white/yellow headed raised bump on his cheek.  It looks like simple acne to me, but my wife thinks it could be staph?  It has grown in size over the past 3 days.  It's about the size of a small pinhead.

He had smaller non-raised white bumps when he was only a few weeks old and they went away about a month later.

Will this go away on it's own, should we see a doctor?

Thanks

with him being so young, a visit to the doc is definitely in order. ask for a staph culture just to put your mind at ease.
