suggestion for lens for cataract surgery

by majmani, May 16, 2008 09:05PM
I need to have cataract surgery. Would like to know mono/multi focal lens would be appropriate. I have floaters and flashes, dry eyes and blphritis. I have had narrow angle glucoma surgery for both the eyes. Have some astigmatism.
With all these eye problems, which lens would be more appropriate. Would appreciate your help. Thank you.

Only you and your eye surgeon can determine what's best for you. There is no "one size fits all" and "different strokes for different folks".

If I was having cataract surgery at this moment in time I would pick the Tecnis monofocal aspheric IOL and use a modified mono-vision technique planning on wearing progressive bifocals after the surgery.

My only negative is avoid the ReZoom Multifocal IOL.
