Some of the ladies here may be able to help you but you would be best to post your question on the expert forum.  If you look at the column along the right and scroll down you will see related expert forums and post on the Ovarian Cancer one.  This does not mean you have cancer but Dr. Goodman will respond to your type of question.  Good luck!

Do NOT post to Dr Goodman if you do not have ovarian cancer.
She only has a limited amount of time.

You mean "myoma".  The term refers to fibroids.

Look at the web site   uterine-fibroids.org

It's not "serious" in that it is not life threatening, but, it could prevent you from becoming pregnant if the fibroids were big enough.  I had a few fibroids when I was pregnant, they are common.

There are various treatment options IF they are large.

Your doctor should not give you a report and not discuss it with you.
Go back to your doctor and tell him you want him explain more to you, and tell hiim you want to get pregnant.

Good luck

Trudie, you came on the forum after MedHelp put up a plea to not write to Dr Goodman if you don't have ovarian cancer or a cancer related question.  Dr Goodman only answers two a day and it was getting very difficult to get questions about cancer posted because once x amount of questions are posted they stop taking questions until the next day when it was usually jammed up again.  There were some pretty bizarre questions and although she is not a mind reader, most of the questioners seemed to be asking her if they have cancer and she can't know that.  If people would do even the tiniest bit of research before they start asking Dr Goodman questions than most of them would never get on there at all.

Katie, I don't know if you have met Trudie yet, but she is really nice and you should introduce yourselves to each other.  Trudie hasn't been here long, but she is very sweet and has been very supportive of those on the cyst site.

Take Care,
Jan

Thanks for the kind words Jan.  I did not know that and will keep in mind.  Abeedaa pleasea feel free to drop me a note.  I am suffering from both a fibroid and a large ovarian cyst.  Waiting on date for surgery.

Take care,
Trudie

mulitpla myomas (i think you just have an incorrect spelling) on the uterus just means multiple fibroids which are benign but can cause pain and heavy bleeding
