Thoracic and Lumbar Spine pain

My daughter is 34 and has had type 1 diabetes since the age of 2.  She also has complications associated with long term diabetes such as retinopathy, neuropathy, and nephrophathy.  In the last 2 years she has developed thoracic and lumbar pain and recently had MRI's both with and without contrast.  The lumbar spine MRI was basically unremarkable.  The thoracic MRI shows a small hemangioma at T8 with no disc protrusion.  Then it shows a prominence of the central canal at the T7-T8 disc level and ending at the T9-T10 level.  The prominence measures 1.5 mm in diameter with no associated abnormal enhancement within the cord.  She is constantly in pain to the point it causes her loss of appetite. Are these MRI findings minimal? Do these MRI findings support her pain symptoms?
