Where is my period???

My pp bleeding stopped around 5 weeks after I had Reilly. Around 7 weeks, I started my first period (I think it was my period). It was VERY heavy and lasted for about 8 days. Normally my periods don't last more than 4-5 days and are pretty light. I'm 10 days late now and it's really getting to me. I wanna start my BC pill already, but I can't until I get my period - at least that's what I've been told and it also says it on the lable. And just so I'm clear, I'm not pregnant again. I already took several tests to be on the safe side although we have been VERY careful. Has anybody been late for this long?

I had my first pp period when my son turned 12 weeks old.it was heavier than normal and lasted longer. But after the first pp period i was very regulat again. I wasnt breastfeeding though so if you are it could affected your period. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. I'm not bfing, thats why I'm wondering why I haven't had my period yet. It's just so frustrating.
