Stitches

by Jram, May 18, 2008 11:41AM
I had my wisdom teeth removed on May 2, 2008.  It is now May 18 and I still have stitches in one socket.  The stitches are the dissolving type, and the other three sockets have already dissolved or came out on their own.  The stitches are very irritating as they seem to catch food.  Has anyone else reported this happening?  Should I contact the oral surgeon's office to have them removed?  Any advice?  Thanks!

If the remaining suture material bothers you, going back to your surgeon is advised.
