PLEASE HELP!!!!!

by kdbd3342, May 18, 2008 08:23PM
I just found this forum and I am hoping someone can help me.  My daughter, who is now four, started having blood sugar issues when she was two.  It started out as a seizer and then a couple days later she passed out and I could not wake her up.  I called 911 and when they got to my house they checked my daughter and her blood sugar level was 41.  She continues to have problems several times a month.  Her blood sugar has dropped as low as 34 and gone as high as 269.  She has had every test possible including all the genetic tests.  Her endocrinologist has ruled out diabetes at this point.  I am working with a team of endocrinologists at a local children's hospital and they have no idea what is wrong with her.  We have spent thousands of dollars on tests with no results.  Right now they are just saying that she has severe ketonic hypoglycemia.  I think that she is getting worse.  I have to make sure eats at least every two hours and I try to always feed her healthy food.  Lately she has started almost having panic attacks when she has not eaten and she throws horrible fits, once she eats she is fine. Her doctor tried to put her on a medication that would keep her blood sugars up, but it made her really sick and her blood sugars go crazy.  I do not have any idea what to do at this point and I would love any suggestions!!!  Thank you
