degenerative PAWS HELP

I HAVE BEEN CLEAN FROM METHODONE FOR 10 YEARS NOW BUT i CAME OFF A 17YEAR MAINTANCE RUN THAT SHOULD OF TOOK I YEAR TO DETOX  IN JUST 2 MONTHS AND HAD TO WALK AWAY WHILE STILL ON 10 MG. i HAD A VERY BAD WITHDRAWLS THAT LASTED ALMOST 2 MONTHS. THE PROBLEM I'M HAVING AFTER 10 YEARS I STILL CAN'T SLEEP MORE THAN 4 HOURS BEFORE WAKING UP FEELING LIKE I'M STARTING INTO WITHDAWL SYMTOMS YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR WIRED UP JUST  THE OPOSITE OF HOW YOU FEELL ON METHODONE. PLUS I CAN'T EVEN SIT DOWN LONG ENOUGH TO READ THE PAPER WITH OUT THAT FEELING LIKE I'M ON UPS. AND CAN'T CONCENTRATE. THE DOCTORS DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GIVE ME, SLEEPING PILLS DON'T WORK THEY TRIED ME ON ALL OF THEM AND I DON'T SLEEP JUST FEEL LIKE I'M DRUNK ,THEY HAVE ALSO GIVEN ME MEDICATION FOR PANIC ATTACKS FOR THE FEELING LIKE I'M ON UP'S ALL THE TIME BUT IT JUST MAKES ME YAWN ALOT BUT STILL FEEL LIKE I'M WIRED. DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN TAKE THIS EACH YEAR GOES BY I THINK IT'S GONNA PASS WITH A DAY OR SO OF FEELING A LITTLE BETER BUT THEN IT COMES RIGHT BACK. THE ONLY TIME I DIDN'T FEEL THIS WAY WAS WHEN I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR A APPENDIX OPERATION AND THEY HAD ME ON OPIATES THEN I FELT OK AND EVEN WAS ABLE TO SLEEP AND CONSENTRATE AGAIN. DON'T WANT TO GO BACK ON METHODONE BUT WHAT ELSE CAN I DO JUST WANT TO FEEL NORMAL AGAIN. IS THERE ANY HOPE OUT THERE OR DO I JUST GIVE UP. WISH SOMEONE COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH , JUST TO A POINT OF GETTING TIRED OF LIVING, BUT LOVE MY FAMILY TO MUCH TO DO ANYTHING STUPID.

I have never been on methadone, but have heard enough about it to be happy i didn't....I am so sorry u will this way....Are u saying that u are still on 10mgs???  
There are some here that know alot about methadone and maybe they can help....i would like to tell u it will get better, but i can see it has been yrs for you.....Have u had all sorts of test done to see if it would be something else???  I mean besides just the docs giving u meds?

Thank you for your prayers, and no i'm not on 10 mgs of methodone thats was my last dose taken before i walked away from it 10 years ago.

yes a doctor put me on  suboxone to help me sleep and with the feeling of being on ups all the time but i didn't want to after 10 years drug free become addicted again so after 3 months i detoxed myself off of it .

well done for ten years. i just did 4 weeks without methadone after being on for 10 years as i got kicked of the program . the withdrawal of 70 ml  even having smack i shook all the time with shooting pains in all my organs.. still not right now

are you still using , it seems like the only thing that takes away the PAWS is using another opiate. I guess after you have been on methadone for so long even the doctors don't know what  to do to help you . And what it does to the body and brain long term.

I feel deep sympathy for anyone caught in this awful trap. Im not myself, but wanted to comment that you should consider that you are a victim of the Federal Govt..yes, you heard right!! The opium trade provides the federal reserve with untold hundreds of billions $$ each year and if you still dont believe, do some internet research. Uncle Sam ensures that more heroin gets in every year, the war on drugs is a smoke screen!!
If everybody got clean and stayed clean, the pre 1933 gold standard would have to be reinstituted. Dont take my word for it..do some research yourself into the dark politics of the opium backed dollar. I wish all a good recovery!! wellness4now
