ADHD Meds & Menstruation

by Morningstarz, May 19, 2008 08:59PM
My Granddaughter has been on ADHD meds since she was 4 years old.  She is now almost 14 and started her cycle almost two years ago.  Last summer her cycle became irregular and too often.  She is on Tenex and Concerta.  Can either of these medications cause this type of abnormality in her cycle?

hey, I would doubt they would interact, because its 2 different parts of the body. But, alot of young girls when they hit puberty do get abnormal periods, it can take time for it to regulate out. If you are concerned just go to the GP
