numbness in hands

I recently had strep throat but since my throat was not sore it was not treated and then went to strep reactive artritis.  I was on Penicilin for 20 days and 800 Ibuprofen twice daliy.  I am now on 800 Ibuprofen and 50mg of Minocycline twice daily for a undetermined amount of time.

I had severe pain for the first 3 weeks and the last two have been getting better.  So far this week the only problem to remain is in the joints of my fingers and hands.  The rest is only slight pain and not all the time.

For the last week I have been waking up with both my hands asleep.  When I first had had the joint problem it was mainly my right hand.  I thought it was maybe from my joints swelling and such.  Is it possible that the meds I am on are the cause of this problem?  Could it be a sign of heart trouble?

I also had step with no discernible symptoms.  I was treated three times in a row before the test for strep came out negative.  I have had problems with numbness in my hands and feet. Sometimes it is my whole arm and it takes up to 10 minutes for the feeling to return.  I have noticed that when I am on some types of medications, the symptoms get worse.  I don't have any answers, but it seems to happen when my blood pressure gets low.
