I am so confused, can I be pregnant?

by pridesouza, May 19, 2008 11:21PM
Hi, I'm 21 years old, my husband and I are trying to conceive, I have very irregular periods and I took birth control pills for over 2 years, I stopped taken them 4 months ago, my last period was in March 17th, I've been feeling very tired, dizzy and my stomach is getting upset very easily, on May 11th I started spotting a yellow tissue like and then it got more to the red side, really deep red, almost brown and it lasted for about 5 days now it got very dark, seems like dried blood color almost black, I got 6 pregnancy tests done and they were all negative, I don't know what to think, should I be worried? could I be pregnant? miscarrying?
I would appreciate any answer!

thanks

Hello,

Repeat the pregnancy test in one week.

I would think that you are not pregnant and most likely something else is to blame.  I am pregnant for the second time and both times the pregnancy test came up positive immediately.  I really suggest you go to your OBGYN asap.  We are all different so it is possible but not likely that you are pregnant.  Even so, you need to get checked out.  It may just be your body making adjustments now that you are off of the pill.

I came off the pill about 6 months ago. My husband and  I began actively ttc just last month. I was supposed to start my period last Wed but things have been really screwed up. I have had headaches, nasea, cramps on and off and the weirdest period ever. I started 2 days early and it only lasted for one day and was completely abnormal for me. Then it would be 2 days on 1 day off...different consistencies and color. I am still confused myself. I am thinking of waiting another day or two to see how things go. I feel your pain and confusion....I would talk to a nurse's assistant or your ob/gyn for some peace of mind.
