Reducing Post-ERCP Pancreatitis - An Article to Look At

by CalGal, May 20, 2008 09:18AM
There's a new article being carried on the Reuter's News Wire and it's posted in several sites talking about taking NSAIDS (rectally) before having an ERCP. It's saying that in one study use of the NSAID significantly reduced the possibility of post-ERCP pancreatitis. It's an article that definitely worth looking at and talking to your doctor about. The article on Reuter's is titled: "Prophylactic NSAID Reduces Post-Endoscopy Pancreatitis."

If this article is correct, it's something to definitely discuss with your doc.
