Help, folliculitis, herpes, warts

4 days ago I noticed a bump on my scrotum that was red and busted and now has a white center. It is very painful. I do shave that area regularly and thought it might have been irritated. More info, my girlfriend has herpes and has had it for 14 years (I have not been with her all that time). She has not had an out break for 10 years+. I had sex unprotected with her about a month ago and want to know if it is herpes?

It sounds like you might have an ingrown hair..I once went to the ER because I had a white bump I thought it was herpes and the DR diagnosed me with an ingrown hair. Herpes are not white they are red and when there is an out break they are painful and have a crusty discharge. Not that I have that, but my best friend does and she told me all about it.
