This patient support community is for discussions relating to ovarian cysts.
the ca125 test is not a reliable test on its own to detect ovarian cancer , only a biopsy will give you a true diagnosis . The test is more reliable in some women that already have ovarian cancer to check for a reccurance. In saying that most cysts approx 95% are benign . I hope everything turns out well for you , try not to worry too much if possible .
Let us know how you get on , Best wishes Angie
I'm in agreement with silver and gold, but it's good that you have a Dr. that is concerned and thorough..You'd be surprised how many Drs. just "pooh, pooh" things. Be thankful for that.. And let us know how it goes..
