Atrial Fibrillation

Hello everyone, my mother has recently been experiencing atrial fibrillation. She is 71 years old and this came right after she experienced a very severe bronchitis. Not sure of this would be related in any way. She has Thyroid problems and the doctor put her on Atenelol and Cumadin for about a month. Her regular doctor told her to just stop taking it one day and seven days after she went back into an irregular rhythm and a low blood pressure. Now she is on Cumadin and Sotanol. I have a couple of questions. Does anybody have experience with Sotanol? Does it slowdown your heart rate? She is currently at 60 but consistent, also feels a little tired. Does anyone know how you can increase your pulse (heart rate) without medication?
