HELP! i cant figure out what's wrong with my dog :(

I have a 12yr old toy poodle.  She is a energetic little thing, she does seem old for her age. But considering her family's history, their life span is up to 17-18yrs of age.  Over the last month or so she has been acting completely different, not herself.  She's a lap down, usually joined at my hip. Now she'll hardly come close to me. You can tell she's in pain, but unaware of the source.  She wont eat or drink. When she does, its a small amount that usually wont stay down. She shakes and shivers all the time.  Her breathing sometimes speeds up, with perfuse panting. Her stomach is hard compared to how it usually is, and the veins on her stomach are extremely superficial than usual.  There is a small lump like thing on her back, almost like her rib just dips in (tumor?).  She wont jump on or off the couch, or even walk up or down the steps.  Blood work was done, came back normal.  Chest and abdominal x-rays were performed, but from the vet, nothing out of the norm.  PLEASE help.

Take your dog to the vet again asap or find another vet.  Dogs hide their pain but somehow you, her owner, know she isn't herself.  She might have bloat - whatever it is, your dog should go to a vet.  Personally, I'd take her right away.  I know money is always a concern but if possible, have her looked at.

we've been in contact everyday with the vet, for fluids and pain medication. He wants us to get a ultrasound, which is no problem. the thing is, its gonna be about a week until the appointment, they couldnt get us in any eariler. im just really scared. shes my bestfriend.

Try calling other vets in the area for a second opinion or to see if they can do an ultrasound sooner.  If she isn't drinking  you don't want to waste time.
