Deep Fillings?

by hsdouglas, May 21, 2008 07:54AM
I had a deep filling done last Friday on my back left molar. The next day, Saturday, was horrible. I was in pain most of the day. Sunday, I woke up fine. Since then it has been hurting on and off, I feel like I have something stuck back there. I should perference this question by telling you that I also have a bad cold right now. What do you think is wrong. Is this normal? The doctor gave me antibiotics and I just started them yesterday. I am going out of town next week for a vacation I've planned for over a year now! I don't want to miss it! What should I do! Thanks in advance for any advice!

If throbbing pain lasting more than 10 seconds upon cold stimulus, root canal treatment is probably indicated. If you are in doubt, seeing an endodontist is advised.
