MORROWVILLE 6 WEEKS POST OP

by Morrowville, May 21, 2008 01:15PM
Hi ladies!  For those of you who remember me, I saw my gyney yesterday 6 weeks post op.  I am fully released from the doctor's care and never have to have a pap smear again!  I am still not on HRT meds, have only experienced a bit of the emotional rollercoaster some women go through.  I had 1 hot flash, and that's pretty good for me!
I do want to get info on the need for HRT if I can, for things like osteoperosis & stuff, but maybe it was good & time for me to be having menopause anyway, and that's why I'm not on HRT.

I feel great, my 20" incision is healing very nicely, I CAN HAVE SEX!  lol

I wish you all big balloons of joy, peace and comfort, and thank each and everyone of the ladies who have touched my heart and helped me through this experience.

I will post when I can, and care deeply about all of you,

Donna

Remember those first few days when you hurt so much and wondered if it would ever end? Well, you have arrived! No more pap smears?! Now I am jealous. Even after all these years I just can't get used to being in the spotlight :-P

I hit menopause the natural way, years of working up to it. But I'm with you about the HRT. I do get hot flashes and night sweats but they won't kill me. All the other issues like heart health and osteoporosis I'll deal with through exercise and good food. At least I'll try that way first. So far, so good.

Love your comment about big balloons of joy, peace and comfort. I can just picture them and balloons bring back those warm memories of childhood when life was simpler. Thanks. Continue to take good care of yourself and hope to hear from you now and then.

I am so glad to hear that you are doing so well.  It sounds like you are doing well without HRT.  If you ever do want information on them, Mary53 is an awesome woman to ask about HRT.  SHe is somewhat of a Goddess when it comes to hormones.  Please don't be a stranger.

Hugs,
Kasie
