Symptoms after Radiation

by susanxxx, May 21, 2008 03:34PM
About 2 months ago, I completed 4 months of chemo and one month of radiation for Hodgkin's.  For about the last week, I have been experiencing a burning sensation in my chest and back.  This burning is spread over the entire chest area, upper and lower, and the lower back, from bra line to waist.  It doesn't feel like sore muscles or a skin problem, just a burning.  Advil helps some.  I called my radiation oncologist and tried to explain what it felt like.  He suggested that I take an antacid.  It is nothing like heartburn.  Is it possible this is related to the radiation?
