Missing Period

I'm 16 years old but started my periods when I was 9 and I've not had a period for 5 months now. I'm gay and so can't be pregnant and haven't been under much stress. I sat exams last week but was only stressed for that one week. I'm quite worried about the reasons behind it - what could be the causes? What do I need to do about it? Thanks

Hi,

I missed my cycle in July, August, and September. In August and September, I had light 2-3 day cycles. It was really weird. They were like 2 weeks apart. My stomach got really bloated and still gets bloated all the time. It goes up and down, but I have gain weight. I never thought I was pregnant because I don't feel pregnant. I was going to take a pregnancy test. I did have sex with my fiance in April and July, but we were careful and he thought if I was pregnant it would have to be April and also with the timing it would have to be April, but I would be 5 months pregnant now and i'm not showing like that because my stomach literally goes up and down.
I'm also about to be 40 next year and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I started having sex when I was 36 with my finance. So, I don't know if I'm going through changes because I starting have sex late. Please advise.

No, I'm not particularly thin. Not particularly big either though 'cause I know that may also cause you to miss periods. I eat a healthy, well balanced diet too.

Are you thin? Sometime thin girls will miss periods. You really need to go t the Dr, a month skipped is one thing, but 5 months is something different
