Jeff and any tramadol user. My tramadol just arrived in the mail today?

So my Tramadol arrived in the mail today. 120 tablets(look long like little footballs) and in 50 milligram dose. Plus 5 refills of it. It says take 4 a day as needed. You all know I am on Percocet 5s 8-10 a day. The tramadol was what the dr. ordered to try and help wean off of the percocet. I still have about 270 of the percs. But the instructions on the tramadol said if youre taking another narcotic for pain it could cause withdrawls. I have anxiety as it is. So thats got me leary. It says it is non narcotic, but can cause dependency. Just questions i need to have at least some kind of info on. Will I get withdrawls taking it, while on percocet, even if i substitute the tramadol for percs. Does it make you high? just want to know. I hate taking something ive never taken, dont know what reaction ill have. So at least some of you might tell me what to expect if you can. Thanks so much                     elvistcb

I'm taking tramadol and do not get any type of high from it.  I took it during the time I had tapered down to only 10 mg of vicodin a day and felt only a few sweats as far as withdrawal.
Now that I am on day 4 w/o vikes and am still on tramadol I have the runny nose diarhhea chills and sweats but it is all very mild.
I am still taking a couple of soma during the day and before bed.
Tramadol does not make me sleepy I feel a little moody but am not sure if it is the tram or just part of the w/d from vikes.
Duchess would know more about this.
Don't take more tram then prescribed and try to wean off it as soon as possible.
I plan to stay on tram for a week and am already beginning my taper from it today.  I'm going down 25 mg at a time by cutting the pills in half.

I have taken Tramadol off and on. For me it does not make me high, and it relieves pain. A LOT of people on here have taken it and become very addicted, so be careful.

Im taking tramadol, sometimes I do get dizzy, once when I started taking Tram. my heartbeat went really low and I had to go to to the emergency r.

I was taking Lyrica, but Im doing better with Tramadol, I only take it when I cant stand the pain, otherwise I take milder meds that relax my muscles, and control the spasms.

I try to do everything I can not to take meds Im really scared of beeing dependant!
