please help

Hello,

I started noticing noticeable changes in my bowel movements less than a year ago. I have had 3 surgeries in regards to my ovaries. I don't know if this means anything but during my 3rd surgery, a 2nd surgeon was called on because my surgeon was concerned about my ileum being attached to the wall of my pelvis. After much thought between both surgeons, they decided to leave it thinking it would cause more damage than benefit me to try and remove it. All of this started to come together about 2 weeks ago when I had a doctors appointment with my family doctor; she noticed that my blood pressure was really high for my age (with me being 19 years old). After further exploration into my blood pressure over the week, it would not go down.. it was always in between 150-166/102-107 with an average heart rate between 120-133. Immediately my family doctor knew that there was something else going on in my body and my high blood pressure was my body's way of telling me. After further investigation, (blood work and 24 hour urine collection), only some of my blood work came back and it showed that my B12 was extremely low (73) which is really weird because I am not a vegan. I have been having a lot of loose bowel movements and diahrea lately along with passing green stool. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with me.. I feel like I keep having to go through one thing after another.. I just recovered from 3 surgeries and now I'm having to deal with the possibility of a disease involving my kidneys or my intestines. I'm really scared to say the least. We're mostly concerned because of my heart rate and my blood pressure; i was sent for an EKG, the EKG rhythm came back normal but my heart rate, again, came back high which than tells my doctor that whatever I'm dealing with has not been happening for very long because it has not put strain on my heart yet. Since all of this, I have been put on 50mg of atenolol and 1200mg of B12 4 times a day to try and balance everything out. If anyone has had similar things happen to them, please help me... this is so hard.

I am so sorry for all that you are going through.  I can't say I have any answers but I just wanted to let you know that I read your post and I am glad that your doctors are looking into why your B.P. is so high instead of just putting you on blood pressure medicine like I think some doctors might have done.  We all have our own stories here and someone might come along with the same experience that you are now going through and be able to help.  In the meantime, I will tell you that we all have gone through or are going through our own struggles and although sometimes we have different symptoms it turns out we have the same disease.  I don't mean to make light of your problem because I knwo what it's like to have IBS.  I have had it for 7 years now since my gallbladder was removed.  A few months ago I had green poop for the first time ever and it was strange.  I got online and googled it and it was connected with me eating cupcakes that had blue icing on them.  Now of course this doesn't explain the IBS at all but for that short time that it was green that was why.  I just had to laugh at myself over that one.  It sounds liek you have some great doctors and if I can give you any advice it would be to get a notebook and a folder and make notes prior to any appointments so you will not forget what you want to ask the doctor when you are there and ask for copies of all labwork and keep it in your folder.  That way if you change doctors or have to go to the hospital or anything you will have your own set of records right there with you.  I am here if you want to talk to someone.  God Bless.

Did they diagnose you with pernicious anemia? If your intestines can't absorb B12 then it won't matter how much you take orally. I would ask for a B12 shot. Are they sure the intestine isn't compressing a blood vessel? Have they looked at your thyroid levels? Your heart rate is crazy high! Have you lost any weight? Vision trouble? hopefully they can figure it out soon!
