My cousin found out that she was pregnant on April 20th (she was going through secondary infertility).  Everything was good - heard that h/b last week!  The other day she went to her ob/gyn for her first visit (she's about 10-11 weeks) and the doc said she was measuring right on track (didn't have the equipment to listen for the heartbeat??) and was looking at the calendar to schedule the C-section.  That gave my cousin a TON of reassurance that she was already looking to the end of the pregnancy!!!

Well, today she went to the RE to get u/s and she just texted me saying that the RE doesn't think it's going well and thinks the p/g is failing. It is measuring a week behind and doesn't look like it's progressed since last week.

Is there anyone that knows of a success story under these conditions?  She is like a twin to me and my heart is just breaking for her!  Please - anything will help?!!??!

There is NO one that knows of a pregnancy measuring a week behind that turned out to be a successful pregnancy??

There is no one that has anything positive or uplifting that I can share with my cousin??

Maybe I have just been off this site for too long....

Lisa,
I'm so sorry about your cousin..
As you know I do not have any positive story to share but just wanted to tell you that I'm with you in this too.
Hugs,
Miky

I wish I had a positive story to share.

Did they see the heartbeat this time?

Your friend will be in my thoughts...

...sorry, I meant your cousin.

I'm sorry I don't have a story to share either, but I hope everything turns out OK for her.  I think this site is usually slow on the weekends, and probably more so since it's a holiday.  Hopefully someone will have some uplifting news for you soon.

I'm sorry that I sounded so awful! I was just hurt and angry and should have turned my computer off instead of writing anything!

They went to the doctor today and the baby's heart stopped beating sometime over the weekend.  She is crushed, but she asked for extra prayers for her baby to be welcomed into heaven.  So, that's what I am doing for her - any prayers that you can say will be greatly appreciated - whatever religion you are...

Again, I am sorry for my unkind tone and words earlier...

I am very sorry for the loss to your family. I hope in time your grief will lessen and I will say a prayer for the baby.

Thank you all!  I appreciate the kind words and the prayers!  As I mentioned, she is like a twin for me and I feel like my heart is being torn out for her.  I know that she is not up to talking to anyone yet, but I will be sure to let her know of everyone's thoughts and prayers!

Thanks again!

I'm so sorry i didn't see this post earlier! Your story about your cousin brought tears to my eyes. I felt her pain as soon as i read about the baby's h/b stopping. I lost my daughter when i was 36 weeks pregnant due to a cord accident just 5 months ago. I have the worst constant memory of when i went to labor and delivery at the hospital, and they couldn't find her h/b. That is the most devastating thing to hear about your child. I know she's in heaven, and i know God is taking care of her until i can get there to take over. God is taking care of your cousin's little one also, and all the angel babies up there. I'll keep your cousin in my prayers. Just be supportive and listen to her.
