Could metphormin be used to treat acne?

by abby911, May 23, 2008 02:20PM
Hi i have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I can not take the pill due to my side effects. I have acne and it has been a problem for years i have irregular periods and my weight is up and down. I want to know if using metphormin to treat acne is safe and effective. Has anyone else tried this as a method? I'm not trying to have a baby but i am trying to get my hormons working properly. Is this a way to achieve my goals or am i going crazy????
