small hard bumps on hard pallet

by stormkrazy, May 23, 2008 08:06PM
About 3 months ago I noticed a small bump on the roof of my mouth.  I didn't think anything about it for a while.  I am now starting to worry a bit because it is not going away, and I looked closely at it today and there is another very tiny bump right next to the initial one.  It looks like a pink bump surrounded by red, with a red spot in the center.  It is painless.  I don't drink or smoke and I am 40.  I will visit a doctor next week, but what are your thoughts?

Your description appears to represent nicotine stomatitis, which is associated with pipe andcigar smoking. However, there is no  tobacco consumption in your history. The center red dot represents inflammation of salivary gland excretory duct. Other than tobacco, other physical or chemical agents may cause inflammation of salivary gland excretory duct.
