A pseudocyst is where the fluid being drained from the head is being collected at the end of the tube in peritoneal area and not absorbing, instead its forming a cyst which will need to be removed.
the possibilites that its the tube poking or hitting a nerve is much higher. and ive read many people experienceing this on forums. this too may need sorting out by surgery. the tubing may be inserted in a different place, it may be shortened or it may be replaced with a VA shunt instead of a VP shunt. which means the tube will drain into the right atrium of the heart instead of the peritoneal.
hope this helps =D and send your love to your little boy =D x
