Could my anxiety and fear of the future have made me develop this sore throat?

I have had some serious emotional problems at home over the past few weeks; also I have a very stressful job I work as an investment banker. I have not been able to sleep well over the past few months and this is really making me not able to concentrate on my work well lately. I have had a sore throat for the past few weeks it doesn’t seem to go but that might be normal because I live in a very hot and humid part of the world which relies heavily on air-conditions 24 / 7. Could my anxiety and fear of the future have made me develop this sore throat? I have not gone to a doctor for this because I was just recuperating from a two weeks triple antibiotic course to eradicate h pylori from my stomach and I still have some acid reflux but not like before.

Most definitely!  Dry mouth is both a common symptom of anxiety...and a fairly common side effect of anti-depressants and antu-anxiety meds (just FYI).

MY guess would actually be the acid reflux causing the sore throat, that happens with GERD.  Again, a total guess.  People with anxiety have complained of the old "lump in the throat", but an actual sore, irritated throat?  I doubt that is anxiety.

Go see your doc and find out what's up.  Especially is it is strep throat...you need to be treated for that.

Let us know what the doc says!
