swelling after chin implant

by vick261, May 24, 2008 04:14PM
Hi.I had a chin implant 3 wks ago today.I also had eye surgery on the same day so had a lot of swelling and bruising. The bruising is almost gone now but my chin is looking a bit odd as one side is much bigger than the other. It almost looks like a lump on one side and the other side looks great.Could this just be swelling?I know people say the swelling can take months to go down but my concern is that its all one sided and i'm afraid implant could have been put in crooked or something?

Over the course of the next several weeks, it will be possible to feel the swollen side to determine if there is a problem with implant positioning.  Your surgeon should readily be able to do this.
