Cervical Fusion C4-C7

by LisaInCa, May 24, 2008 10:53PM
Hi,

I'm 38 and I've been diganosed with SLE since I was 19 (1989). I have had two lumbar fusions and have learned I need three levels in my cervical spine. Does this have anything to do with prolonged steroid use? My rhumies at UCSF say it's not...but I don't have DDD in my family history and seem young for five fusions?! Just hoping for any insights from this forum.

Thanks,
LisaInCa
