headaches due to an ear infection

hi, i'm 18 years old. i had a continuous throbbing pain at the front side of my head which went on for one day and a half. i couldn't stand up or even sit properly as it worsened the pain. i went to see a doctor the next day and she said she saw my inner left ear being scarred due to an ear infection which she was guessing occured long time ago. she said that because of this, i will have headaches at times (sometimes continuous, sometimes not) and that there's no cure to it. so here's my question: is she correct? i mean.. i tried her medicine but it hardly works. please tell. thank you.
