As the others have said, we are not Drs and those are questions you really should be asking him. You should never feel like a hypochondriac with your Dr and if it is him that makes you feel that way, get a new Dr., if it is you that are making yourself feel that way, forget it and ask. No one wants their Dr to think they are "whining" about stuff, but he isn't a mind reader and can't tell you what's wrong if you don't tell him the symptoms. Good luck

As the other girls have said... age is no barrier for ovarian cancer, and as one ages, so there is more liklihood of contracting this wretched cancer. If you have some doubts, do see a Gyno, at least, and be checked out, as most of us were detected when it was advanced. It's then harder to deal with. I hope all goes well, and you will let us know how you go. Just don't be fobbed off by the Doctor though, as they sometimes tend to do that.
Btw... are you an Aussie? The name Warrigul is aboriginal isn't it? :-)
My advice is simple--see a doctor and ask him/her these questions. There are no doctors here and though I dearly love many of these women and they can help with a lot of support, I still consult a doctor.
Hi ,
Ovarian cancer affects women of all ages , from the very young to the very old . It is more common however with women that have gone through the menopause, there are many benign conditions with the same symptoms as ov cancer , this is why it is difficult and sometimes takes a long time to get the appropriate tests . Some of your symptoms are the same but ov cancer is rare . I would definately go to your doctor , explain your symptoms and ask for a trans vaginal ultrasound and a ca125 blood test
Please don,t worry about feeling like a hypercondriac , you have to look out for your own health and its better to be safe than sorry .
Best wishes Angie
