MRI -- what are the white spots

by kgirl40, May 26, 2008 10:46PM
Here is a picture on from my recent MRI. What are all those white spots? They show up on several series of images, but not on the T1 series. There are so many of them, I have a hard time believing they're anything. There are more on other slides, showing up on the top third of my brain and the back third of the brain. I had the MRI for facial nerve pain, but have also had other symptoms, most notably face pain (beyond the nerve pain), salivary gland swelling and pain,  and lots of joint/tendon/muscular aches and pains. All of that started two years ago with an attack of what might have been parvovirus. Also, this may be unrelated, but I have recurring episodes that begin with auras, and progress into a replay of a conversation, the same conversation, the same people talking, etc. During these 1-2 minute episodes, I am fully awake, can see and move fine, but can't speak. These have been going on longer 5-10 years.
