Research for Novella, Help Please.

by Demitasse, May 26, 2008 11:57PM
I am currently reseaching for a Novella and am having trouble finding information on a situation my character is experiencing. She is hit by an ambulence. But she is thrown into the air and as an avid runner her backpack cushions her spine but causes her skull to be slammed into the concrete. What would this be classified as and what would be the effects of this? Thank you for your time and energy, --Christy

I also plan for this character to go into a coma because of this injury, and then eventually, a vegitive state.
