Wight lifting

Dear Sir

I have GERD AND Lately I was advice to switch my sport activity as I go to gum 5 days a week for weight lifting keeping in mind that I don’t go with high weights it’s only for tuning my body no more. And to switch to swimming, walking and other non hard sports activities. As I was told that such sport may increase the GERD.
Can you please advice if this is true or not. as some doctors assured it and others did not

thank allot

I'm not a Dr., but I would think it could aggravate it as it is putting pressure on a muscle that may be weak to begin with ?  I'm not sure of your age .. this is the pediatric GERD community .. if you are older you can repost your ? on the Adult GERD community where you may get some more answers.

Hope this helps,

Cheryl
