Nauseous after eating - all the time

by tmt731, May 27, 2008 12:35PM
I have been getting very nauseous after eating for about the past month. It doesn't matter what I'm eating, I'll always get nauseous or crampy. Obviously, some things make my stomach not as nauseous. What usually happens is I will eat, and within 30 minutes to an hour, I'll get very nauseous, sometimes throwing up. Before this, I'll be gagging for a while. If I don't get nauseous, my stomach gets very crampy, often feeling like something cold is in my system and gives a tearing feeling. This feeling is very strong and wakes me up at night. I don't know if this is related or not, but in the past 2 days, I've been getting a fever (101-102). I'll obviously take a trip to the doctor, but I just want to know what to expect.  Thanks.

Hm, this is not typical, so it may be many things:

1. H. pylori infection of the stomach (gastritis). Goes with BURPING and BURNING feeling in the stomach and HEARTBURN. Well, this H. pylori may cause an ulcer; gastric ulcer causes pain after eating.
2. Gallbladder inflammation. Cramping pain under the RIGHT RIB CAGE, especially after the FATTY MEAL.

You can expect
- Stool test for bacteria nad fats
- Appointment with gastroenterologist: breath test for H. pylori
