It look's like a spot, but it hasnt faded like a spot, and it's not in a place where spots occur.

So, about three, maybe four months ago, I noticed a purple spot on the shaft of my penis, about midway along, slightly to the right side on the top.
It's about one to two millimetres in diameter.
It's also in the loose skin, not the corpus cavernosum, i.e, I can take it between my forefinger and thumb, and pull it along with skin away from the penis (but not off of). When doing this, rolling it between forefinger and thumb, I can tell it is a small ball. Although when it first appeared, it was longer, resembling the hole a meteor would dig out in a sci-fi film if it hit at an angle, (teardrop, but stretched out), sort of like a vein, but not quite. It's changed to simply be a ball in recent times.
If you can think of any other details you want, I'm happy to provide.
I'm also undergoing antibiotic treatment for a urinary tract infection.
So what do you reckon, Cancer, Parasitic, viral or other?
Should I attempt to pierce it myself, to see if it goes away?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
