Thighs/Butt get hot if I sit too long and as the evening nears

by JoyToTheWorld, May 27, 2008 08:07PM
For the past 5 or so years the symptoms have worsened. It's difficult to sit or lay down for any length of time. Initially, I could feel what seemed like a bruise on the side of my thigh. Sometimes, a bruise would appear about a week or two after feeling it, but not always. It's eventually gotten worse so it feels like a bruise and/or it burns, but only when sitting or lying down. If I sit on something warm, it's very quickly uncomfortable (sat in a car with seats that heat up). It feels like my butt and thighs get hot. I'm in my early 40's and the spider veins have already appeared. I bruise easily sometimes (think it depends on the location). At times, bruises appear from nothing. Sometimes they hurt, sometimes they don't. But they rarely go away and usually take forever to heal (if they do). Even tiny marks like a nothing scratch takes forever to heal, usually leaving a scar. I feel like there should be something that could be done for this. I have no problems falling asleep (I discovered that a cold pack on my thigh lets me fall asleep) but I toss and turn if anything wakes me up because I'm not comfortable. They did find a tumor against my spinal chord (lumbar area) against and told me it seems to cause the sensation of sitting on a pea but don't think it's causing the bruising feeling. No iron problem. I'm lactose intollerant and have sjorgren's syndrom but don't think they're related to the problem. My blood was tested and it seems fine. I don't know where else to go with this. Is there anyone out there with an idea of how to stop or cure this? Thank you. :)
