Sarcoidosis affecting other areas of the body/system

I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis fifteen years ago. It was found out through a bronchoscopy. It was also found out, at the same time, that I had five lesions/tumors in my thoracic spine. The doctor believed that the two were linked and were the cause of the numbness I was suffering from the ribs down -- I also could not taste or smell. I was put on prednisone and took that for about a year. The symptoms did not go away, and after a year of taking the prednisone, I decided I didn't want to take it anymore. The numbness, lesions/tumors, finally stopped after about two years.

I am now suffering the same symptoms -- numbness in my feet, inner thighs, and totally from the knees down. I really don't want to be put on prednisone again due to the side effects, and I want to know are there any other treatments available now.
