i just got my report of my ultround and im confused

IT SAYS HERE THAT: MY UTERUS MEASURES 6.2 X'S 3.3 X'S 2.8 CM WITH AN ENDOMETRIUM OF 5.7 MM. THE MYOMETRIUM IS NORMAL IN ECHO TEXTURE. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

by Keith Downing, MD, Jun 02, 2008 09:10PM
Hello,

This report reflects a normal size uterus (that's based on the measurements you gave); a thin endometrium (the inside lining of the uterus that increases and decreases in width in response to the hormonal changes of the menstrual cycle) and the myometrium is the smooth muscle wall of the uterus which per report is normal (echo texture is simply a sonographic description of its appearance).

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
