Not Possible, is it?

by dlemah, May 29, 2008 06:23AM
Can you be pregnant while you have a period if you have the symptoms while bleeding?  What does it mean to have a lumpy kinda feeling in your uterus area near your cervix that moves and has never been there before?  Why do I have expanding blue veins on my breasts when I have my period?  Someone help please and stop these questions.

bc i did not pay attention to the date! and i had my period first 2 months of last pregnancy. and friend did for first 6 months. it may not be an ACTUAL PERIOD but bleeding of some kind like a normal period

most women who have period-like bleeding at regular intervals realize that it is NOT an actual period -- no ovulation, no complete shedding of the uterine lining, blah, blah, blah, blah.

People on this site are looking for information, shared experiences and support...not medical degrees.  Technically it is not a period, but when used here it is rather to denote bleeding that falls in a "normal" cycle and/or often occurs for a "normal" length -- and is more than just spotting.  While not usual, it does happen to some women.  And "normal" is to refer to what is typical for that person...but I think you knew all of this when you posted.

So hopefully that clears you up so that you can move onto bigger and better things.

right i kno. but sometimes girls are worried ...i got my period but could i be pregnant....the answers no...you can spot or have break through bleeding ext but not a full blown period.

and most of the time there are women who are like yeah! you can get pregnant on the pill....just to help worry poor girls when they dont need to be worried

the majority of the female population does not get a period while their pregnant

Ladies! Ladies! play nice!!! Moew the cats are in the house. As a matter of fact I had a close friend of mine in her late thirties, who after three kids and thierteen years apart didn't think she was pregnant because she had her period regularly but it turns out she was prego after all, but I would have to think that it was merely because of her age and hormones. She was puzzled as to why as well but the DR said that in some cases you can have periods while preg it purely depends on the person. The only way to be for certain of pregnancy is a blood test {dlemah}.

Sometimes the tone on this board is very patronising and not nice. We must remember everyone has different levels of understanding and has gone through different experiences. None of us have all the answers. There is always exceptions to what we think are the rules too....

the long and short of it is so simple - if you think there is even an outside chance youa re pregnant do a home test or go see your doctor. What anyone says on this board wont make a difference to what you are worrying about - for you to write a post 'could I be pregnant' whatever the circumstance -  you were on the pill, the condom broke, or you are still getting what seems like a normal period, you were worried enough to really feel tehre is a possability -  so get tested.
