Brain Stem Stroke

by rachellebiggin, May 29, 2008 09:23AM
My husband suffered a Brain stem stroke July 2007.. At the age of 29. He is doing very well.  He has had follow up MRI since. There still shows a very small spot of blood on the MRI. Each time it is smaller. Is this normal 1 year later?? Will it go away?

Also, The affects have left him with a crossed right eve. It now comes out to the center but not further? Any suggestions to retrain?

Hi,
As you said that blood spot is decreasing on follow up MRI.Hopefully in next 1-2 years it should be normal. Finally it goes away if size is small.Your husband having right sixth cranial nerve palsy, there are exercises to make faster recovery.Take a help of physiotherapist to retrain.
Regards,
