possible internal bleeding?

by ctwiggy, May 29, 2008 10:25PM
I'm sixteen years old, in pretty good shape, but when I undergo intense physical exercise (mainly running until I am exhausted) I get intense abdominal pain. lest month I had to stay home from school for a whole day after a soccer tournament because of it. It had been going on for years now, and I have recently discovered that my blood pressure increases dramatically when I exercise. (from 125 to ~135) which might cause the leakage of capillaries near my intestines/stomach area. Can anyone give me some possible explanation for this please?

Hi ctwiggy, how are you doing? I do not think you might be having any internal bleeding following the strenuous exercise or so. It is common to get stomachaches if you run or exercise after a heavy meal. It is better not to over exert yourself to the extent you feel totally exhausted, pace and rhythm need to be the same. As you mention a long history of abdominal pain, I would suggest you to get examined by a surgeon and get investigated. Your systolic blood pressure is in boderline and need to observe the daily recording and get reviewed with your family physician. Take care and share your thoughts.
