cytology report

by laddy64, May 30, 2008 03:51PM
I had a cytology test done recently due to i have the cancer mutation lynch syndrome msh2.Cancer runs in my family my younger brother has colon cancer at 41 YO.The Results said, Clustered urothelial cells is an abnormal finding in voided urine. It may be seen with papillary neoplasm,Rare atypical urotheial and squamous cells.Hematuria, erythrocytes, amorphous material.clinico-pathological correlation recommended.
But my urologist said don't worry about and put me on Cipro medication.I would think with the family history and having the cancer mutation they would look into this a little bit more.I'm thinking of getting a 2nd opinion what do you think
Thanks

Never take one persons advice especially with a family history like urs.  Dr's at times are quick to assume but in ur case theres no time for assumption. ur body tells u when something is wrong, be in tune with it and always get 2 and 3rd opinions.  I am in the same boat.
